It was the second novel by American author Andy Weir and the first published under his own name. It was originally self-published in 2011 after which Crown Publishing purchased the rights and re-released it in 2014. The Martian, a film adaptation directed by Ridley Scott and starring Matt Damon, was released in October 2015.
The story is set in mars at nowdays with Mark Watney, as he becomes stranded alone on Mars in the year 2035 and must improvise in order to survive. He's stuck on this hostile planet one , but its saved by the fact that he's a nerd , he raised a plantation of potatoes but soon his plant and life module has been destroyed . At same time at earth nasa trying to back him from that hostile planet , and what happened next you will find out in the book .
To my mind book is very enteristing and fun . I read this book after watching film and I think film issued cool !
Enteristing fact - film received an award for best humorous film but the writer believes that this is romance and fantasy !
